AWOLNATION TO JOIN PROPHETS OF RAGE ON UPCOMING TOUR
SUMMER HEADLINE & FESTIVAL DATES ON SALE NOW
June 20, 2016 – AWOLNATION has been selected to join Prophets of Rage on their nationwide summer/fall tour. The group, comprised of Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk along with Chuck D and DJ Lord of Public Enemy and Cypress Hill’s B-Real will kick off their “Make America Rage Again” trek on August 19 in Fairfax, VA. It runs through October 16 in Chula Vista, CA.
“The influence of the individual artists in Prophets of Rage in music, politics and society on us personally and so many others has been massive,” states AWOLNATION singer, songwriter and producer Aaron Bruno. “Together, they will undeniably unite even more people through the power of live music & positive energy on this tour. This is something we believe is important and needed now more than ever, and we are honored to get to be a part of that impact.”
The tour comes on the heels of a string of AWOLNATION headline dates, radio shows and summer festivals that kicked off last Friday. A portion of the dates had to be canceled due to the Prophets of Rage opportunity, but fans in those markets will still have a chance to see the multi-platinum LA band: ticket-holders for canceled shows have been contacted with special details about seeing AWOLNATION along with Prophets of Rage when the tour comes through their town.
AWOLNATION’s new album ‘Run,’ is out now. It features the No. 1 hit “Hollow Moon (Bad Wolf)” as well as Top 5 tracks “I Am” and “Woman Woman.” The album’s title track has become a viral sensation, with over 250 million views on Vine, and songs from the album have been remixed by Steve Aoki, Mike D and more.
