DENVER – November 12, 2014 – The Drop Box is a documentary feature that tells the story of a pastor in South Korea who built a “baby box” for abandoned babies. It’s a film about the forgotten, the disabled, the discarded, and the man who gave everything to protect them. Fathom Events, Focus on the Family, Pine Creek Entertainment, Arbella Studios and Kindred Image join together to present a special event called The Drop Box in select theaters nationwide on March 3, 4, and 5, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. local time. An award-winning documentary, The Drop Box tells the story of one man’s efforts to protect and care for newborn babies who might have otherwise been abandoned on the streets of Seoul, South Korea. Pastor Lee built a “baby box” – a safe harbor to welcome and care for these babies. So far, more than 500 babies – many of whom have disabilities – have been helped through Pastor Lee’s ministry. The filmmakers will be donating a portion of their proceeds to support Pastor Lee’s ministry.

The Drop Box is ultimately a story of hope,” said Focus on the Family president Jim Daly. “Even in the midst of a heart-wrenching situation, we see the heart of a father’s love in Pastor Lee. Watching this documentary changes a person – it draws you to care even more deeply for the most vulnerable among us.”

The Drop Box is an inspiring story that must be shared,” said Fathom Events CEO John Rubey. “There is no better way to spread this message than by putting it on the big screen for all to see, so we are doing just that.”
