Lionfish… Featured on ABC 7’s “The Suncoast View”!
We were recently invited to appear on Channel 7 ABC’s The Suncoast View where we featured our Lionfish. The ladies of the View loved it! We are serving it at the Beach House Restaurant on our daily features menu. Because the Lionfish lurks towards the bottom of the ocean, it’s tricky to catch and is most often caught in lobster traps or by spear only. So it is best to call ahead for availability. Melanie sent us this nice note along with her winning photograph, “We would like to thank you and take this opportunity to tell the whole Sandbar team: the Sandbar is our absolute favorite restaurant in all of Florida! At a friend’s wedding 2008, we got to know the Sandbar and fell in love with it. Every year we come to Florida. A visit to the Sandbar is an absolute must.
We love to enjoy cocktails and delicious food, with the feet in the white, soft sand and watch the stunning sunset. In our opinion, the Sandbar has the most beautiful sunset around the world!
We took this photo on our last visit. It seems as if the sun was thirsty at this moment. Our server Bill was so nice and friendly to us. A great idea was the Sunset contest where we missed the win by just a few seconds. But that did not matter. Again, it was a beautiful evening in a wonderful place of earth. We love it soo much!!! At home, we love to wear the shirts from the gift shop which always help us to remember the great times we had at the Sandbar.”
