ASPEN, Colo.—The Aspen Music Festival and School is pleased to announce a new lecture series led by Music Director Robert Spano, which will explore the art form of conducting. Held Tuesdays, August 11 and 18, in Harris Concert Hall, the 3:30 p.m. event is a fitting prelude to the American Academy of Conducting at Aspen (AACA) concerts at 4 p.m. in the Benedict Music Tent.
August 11 lecture attendees may choose to stay after the 3:30 lecture to hear the critically acclaimed Maestro’s conducting feedback of Stravinksy’s masterful work, The Rite of Spring, as part of the 4 p.m. AACA performance in the Benedict Music Tent.
