Faces of Change is created by and for the community through a process of interviews and gatherings where perspectives and experiences are shared. It brings us together to spark expression, discussion, and awareness. This year’s project took inspiration from productions such as The Grapes of Wrath and Philadelphia, Here I Come: stories of leaving home to start a better life somewhere new.
Immigration is a key piece of the American Character. We have all come to the U.S. somewhere in our family’s backstory, whether it was for survival or growth. Faces of Change: Growing America highlights the personal stories from local immigrants, young, old, rich, poor, documented, and undocumented. It features real stories, performed by real community members. Each performance is followed by a discussion with the cast.

We are thrilled to report that the community response has been enthusiastic, and our Friday and Saturday night performances are completely sold out! We hope you will join us on Sunday afternoon to celebrate the final performance and meet these storytellers, who represent dozens of stories within our own local area. This project perfectly demonstrates how we use theatre to connect and inspire, bringing our community’s experiences up onto our stage.
I sincerely hope to see you this weekend and to share this work with you.
Best,
Kathryn
