Asolo Rep Announces Casting for 2015-16 Repertory Season

(SARASOTA, January 6, 2016) — Asolo Rep proudly announces casting for its entire 2015-16 repertory season. One of the few true rotating repertory theatres in the country, Asolo Rep opens three world class productions in January alone. Directed by Emily Sophia Knapp, Pulitzer Prize-winner Robert Schenkkan’s Tony Award®-winning political masterpiece All the Way opens January 8. Joe DiPietro’s new music infused comedy Living on Love opens January 15, directed by Asolo Rep favorite Peter Amster. Asolo Rep Associate Artistic Director and Director of the FSU/Asolo Conservatory Greg Leaming helms Eugene O’Neill’s nostalgic American comedy Ah, Wilderness!, which opens Friday, January 22. In March, Tony Award-winner and Academy Award®-nominee Frank Galati directs the witty stage adaptation of the classic 1960s film Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner. Ayad Akhtar’s Pulitzer Prize-winning provocative drama Disgraced, directed by Asolo Rep’s Producing Artistic Director Michael Donald Edwards, opens in April in the Historic Asolo Theater. |
TICKETS Tickets for Asolo Rep’s 2015-16 season are on sale now. Asolo Repertory Theatre is located at 5555 North Tamiami Trail in the Florida State University Center for the Performing Arts. The box office is currently open Monday 10am – 4pm, Tuesday – Thursday 10am – 7:30pm, Friday – Saturday 10am – 8pm, and Sunday 10am – 2pm. The box office closes at 5pm when there are no evening performances and phone lines close one hour prior to the start of any performance.
