Reimagining at the Ice House

corner

Georgia O’Keeffe was one of two abstract painters in America 100 years ago. She went on to create iconic landscapes of the West. Alfred Stieglitz was the first to show the art of Rodin, Picasso and Matisse in America, and he fought to have photography recognized as “artistic.”

What would these two creative originals do today with digital cameras, Photoshop, inkjet printers – and after generations of artists had followed their pioneering paths?

See how artists worldwide have reimagined these two visionaries–in painting, prints, photos, silkscreens, sculpture, installations, and video, at the Icehouse on Tenth Street. Alfstad& Productions presents Reimagining Georgia O’Keeffe and Alfred Stieglitz: 2014, February 8-16.
