Art Center Sarasota and Temple Bar Productions presents
She’ll StickTo Ye’
A rehearsed reading of a new play by JACK GILHOOLEY
Tuesday, January 13
7 pm
Admission $10 -at the door
An 80-90 minute play based on an imagined situation. Nora Barnacle Joyce never returned to her native Ireland after the country refused to accept her husband, James Joyce’s body for burial in 1941. But if she had…The play is set in 1946 when Nora delivers a lecture to The Irish Women’s Literary Society. Given the scandalous reputation of the Joyce’s, the decision to honor her would have been a controversial one in this very religious nation. But the literary society is composed of intelligent and open-minded devotees of the arts… to a degree, that is.
