Anu Tail & the Sarasota Orchestra Welcome Flugelhorn Soloist

What: Masterworks Series: Framed (MW 3)
Music Director Anu Tali will conduct Masterworks three titled ‘In Love,’ featuring flugelhorn soloist Sergei Nakariakov.
This program highlights three love stories including: Strauss’ Death and Transfiguration, Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Overture and Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé. These music selections will be performed for each concert.
The performance on Friday, January 9th will also feature flugelhorn soloist Sergei Nakariakov performing Mozart’s Concerto No. 4 for Horn.
Performances on Saturday, January 10th and Sunday, January 11th will also feature flugelhorn soloist Sergei Nakariakov performing Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations.

Classical Conversations: The Sarasota Orchestra Friends will present a musically illustrated one-hour talk featuring host Philip Gainsley on the Masterworks program at 10:00 am on January 8, 2014 at Holley Hall. Tickets are $10 at the door.
