ANDY GRAMMER made his debut on NBC’s “Today” yesterday morning. The acclaimed platinum-selling singer, songwriter, musician performed his new hit single “Back Home,” off his sophomore album MAGAZINES OR NOVELS released this past Tuesday (8/5) on S-Curve Records. The highly anticipated album is available now in-stores and on iTunes where it has reached #5 on the overall iTunes Albums chart and #2 on the Pop Albums chart.
ANDY will also make a national TV appearance as special guest on VH1’s “Top 20 Countdown” airing this weekend (8/9 and 8/10). He will discuss the new project as well as air a portion of the music video for “Back Home” which was recently added to the channel’s regular rotation.
MAGAZINES OR NOVELS encompasses 12 new songs all written or co-written by GRAMMER, reinforcing his place among the male pop artist elite through honest reflections of the impressive ride he’s been on during the past couple of years. ANDY recently sat down with CBS’ Radio.com to explain the inspiration behind the new direction of this album. “I’m going to try to go more after humanity and more after honesty and hopefully people will feel that and it will pull them in the way I’ve been pulled into other artists. It was a little scary to go after exactly what I wanted sonically because I knew it was such a departure but I love it. I think people will follow you if it’s what you love.”
