Americans for Affordable Products Launches National Television Spot
500-Strong Coalition Reinforces Opposition to Congress’ Border Adjustment Tax
Washington, D.C. – Today, Americans for Affordable Products (AAP) – a collection of businesses and trade associations seeking to stop the Border Adjustment Tax (BAT) – announced the launch of a national television, digital and social media campaign.

The advertising effort is the next step in AAP’s informational campaign to encourage lawmakers to move past the Border Adjustment Tax so that real tax reform that helps businesses and families of all sizes can occur. The coalition represents the largest employment sector in the country speaking for nearly one in four jobs in the country totaling more than 42 million.

“We believe Congress should not jeopardize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to reform our tax code by pursuing the Border Adjustment Tax, a policy which divides, rather than unites, American job creators,” said Joshua Baca, spokesperson, Americans for Affordable Products. “It is past time that U.S. House leadership move past the divisive Border Adjustment Tax and advance a plan that Congress can pass and America’s employees and employers can support.”
