ABC RADIO ANNOUNCES TWO LABOR DAY WEEKEND PROGRAMS
Two Three-Hour Specials: “America Works” and “Country Goes to Work”
ABC Radio will provide two three-hour programs to affiliates over Labor Day weekend: “America Works” and “Country Goes to Work.”
As the country celebrates the accomplishments of American workers this Labor Day Weekend, ABC Radio presents a special “America Works” anchored by ABC News correspondent Aaron Katersky. The three-hour special examines where the country has been and where it is going, through the lens of America’s work. The program will spotlight the manager of a solar project whose grandfather was a coal miner, the all-female leadership team of the nation’s largest union, self-employed dog walkers who are part of the gig economy, an Oklahoma teacher of the year forced to relocate over a change in oil prices and retail workers grappling with an industry more attuned to online shopping. “America Works” will be available to stations for use over the Labor Day holiday weekend.
In ABC Radio’s “Country Goes to Work” special hosted by Florida Georgia Line, Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard take a look at some of the jobs country artists had before they made music their career. The duo also discusses the “second jobs” many country stars have outside of their music, running bars and restaurants, hosting cooking shows, starting clothing lines, launching wines, whiskeys and more. The three-hour special will feature Sam Hunt, Thomas Rhett, Dierks Bentley, Luke Combs, Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum and others. “Country Goes to Work” will be available for use over the Labor Day holiday weekend.
