ABC RADIO ANNOUNCES THREE HOURS OF MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND PROGRAMMING

Three One-Hour Specials: “Tribute to the Troops 2016,” “Summer Survival Guide 2016” and “Return of the Summer Sequels”

ABC Radio will provide three one-hour specials during Memorial Day Weekend in addition to the previously announced “Somewhere on the Road: ABC Radio’s Country Summer Tour Roundup.” The following programs will be available: “Tribute to the Troops 2016,” “Summer Survival Guide 2016” and “Return of the Summer Sequels.”

ABC Radio’s Scott Goldberg hosts “Tribute to the Troops 2016,” taking a look at how lost soldiers are honored, soldiers in service are supported and families assist their newly committed enlistees. This one- hour special also explores the unique services available to wounded veterans and highlights the efforts of those who are trying to make a difference on their “second tour.”

“Summer Survival Guide 2016” provides listeners all the information they need to get ready for the summer. Hosted by ABC Radio’s Brad Mielke, this one-hour special offers tips on everything from avoiding Zika to planning the perfect vacation on a budget, finding your inner Zen and creating a delicious spring and summer menu.

From “Ghostbusters” to “X-Men: Apocalypse” to “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising” summer 2016 will be filled with sequels. In the one-hour special, “Return of the Summer Sequels,” ABC Radio’s David Blaustein reviews all of the reboots and new installments opening in theaters this summer.

As previously announced, ABC Radio will provide “Somewhere on the Road: ABC Radio’s Country Summer Tour Roundup,” a three-hour Memorial Day weekend special hosted by chart-topping, CMA award-winning artist & ACM co-host Dierks Bentley. See also http://abcn.ws/1XrtLps.
