Los Angeles, CA – December 10, 2015 – A Silent Film are now premiering the video for their original holiday song “Christmas At Our House” exclusively online at Yahoo! Music. The track is featured on the recently released “Indie For The Holidays” compilation curated by Amazon Music.

Written by A Silent Film and featuring wonderfully hand drawn illustrations by artist Bunny and Bear, “Christmas At Our House” recalls singer Robert Stevenson’s favorite family holiday memories, the tragic loss of his father, and ultimately the spark of hope, warmth, and togetherness that the season brings.

Says Stevenson, “I had written the lyric on the first Christmas after my father passed away, but I hope it speaks to anyone enjoying this holiday season surrounded by friends and family. Christmas At Our House is a holiday song of goodwill and kindness with a sweetly nostalgic feel that would melt the heart of Ebenezer Scrooge.”

Formed in Oxford, UK, A Silent Film’s expansive and poetic pop-rock sound has garnered comparisons to everyone from Coldplay to The Killers to U2. Collectively, they create an unyielding positivity in their lyrics and sound, a spirited and romantic musicality that belies an unashamedly upbeat pop attitude.

Earlier this fall, A Silent Film released their new self-titled, full-length studio album A Silent Film, produced by band members Robert Stevenson (vocals/keys) and Spencer Walker (drums/vocals). The band self-produced their second LP Sand & Snow, inspired by an impulsive tryst with Americana, yielding the hit singles “Harbour Lights”, and “Danny, Dakota and the Wishing Well” to build on the success of 2010’s anthemic debut single “You Will Leave A Mark”. Earlier this year, the band followed up Sand & Snow with the release of New Year EP and the sold out Secret Rooms tour – a series of unique and intimate ‘in-the-round’ performances across the US.
