TRULY VALUED NOW OFFERS PARENT SUPPORT GROUPS Evidence-based and trauma-informed program of Nurturing Parenting Program® (SARASOTA, FL December 1, 2020) – Truly Valued Inc., a nonprofit that provides mentoring and support services to middle and high school girls in Sarasota and Manatee Counties, announces a new program to provide support to parents. Research shows that support groups provide healthy parenting skills, an increased sense of empowerment, and a feeling of belonging. Moreover, parenting support groups can be particularly helpful for parents of teens who are coping with anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues. With certified facilitators, the Nurturing Online Program® is designed for families with children of all ages. The program objectives include rapport at the heart (affective) level, assessing attitudes, knowledge, skills, empathy, self-awareness and building other related skills. About Truly Valued Truly Valued, Inc. (formerly I Am More, Inc.) was established in 2014 by a small group of volunteers as a community based outreach event called Tea Party 4 Girls serving 30 girls. Chartered as a 501 (c)(3) organization in 2016, Truly Valued expanded its operational reach by serving up to 130 girls and establishing formal mentoring, educational and career exploration programming for adolescent girls in Manatee and Sarasota Counties. Our mission is to promote positive self-esteem, education. confidence and character among teen girls.
