A SPECIAL MESSAGE FROM MOT COSTUME DIRECTOR SUZANNE HANNA
Hello MOT Family,
I am so proud to be leading MOT’s initiative to sew masks for frontline workers. Over the course of the past couple of weeks, we have donated hundreds of hospital-grade masks to St. Joseph Mercy Health System. We have used St. Joseph’s supply of Blue AutoClave fabric to create masks for our healthcare workers that block 99.5% of pathogens. Additionally, our costume team has donated their personal stock of cotton fabric to sew hundreds more masks that have been distributed to nursing homes, VA hospitals and places of need.
The MOT Costume Team is so grateful to be able to use our skills to support the community that has supported our performances for so many years. Now more than ever, we are all looking to support each other and keep our community safe and well.
I hope that you and yours are doing well and finding moments of joy and inspiration—whether that be through volunteering, spending time with your loved ones, or enjoying our MOT at Home programming. If you are able to, please consider supporting our organization and its ongoing work. You can do this by donating the value of your tickets for the season using this form, or by increasing your annual support by clicking the “donate now” button below.
Thank you again for the support you have given our organization. Please stay well.
Sincerely,
Suzanne Hanna |
