Palmetto, Florida, October 9th, 2018 – The Early Learning Coalition of Manatee County (ELC) is extremely proud to have been named as a 2018 Tampa Bay Business Journal One Tampa Bay Honoree, formally known as the Non-Profit of the Year Award.
To shine a brighter spotlight on the most philanthropic and giving corporations, the Tampa Bay Business Journal combined what were previously known as the Corporate Philanthropy and Nonprofit of the Year awards to make the One Tampa Bay awards. “By combining Nonprofit of the Year with our Corporate Philanthropy Awards, the event and publication will serve as a platform to bring the region’s outstanding nonprofit organizations together with the companies in Tampa Bay who are going above and beyond when it comes to giving back to the community,” said TBBJ Publisher and Market President Ian Anderson.
The Coalition was the 2015 winner of the Tampa Bay Business Journal Non-Profit of the Year in Education, and a 2016 and 2017 finalist in the same category. This latest award is continued recognition of the work the ELC does in Manatee County and its efforts for childcare safety statewide.
ELC will receive the award at a luncheon and presentation in Clearwater on Thursday, November 15th.
Paul Sharff, ELC Chief Executive Officer, said: “Having been recognized as the Non-Profit of The Year in Education in 2015, and having been a finalist in 2016 and 2017, we are extremely proud to have once again been chosen as the winner of this award. I would like to thank our ELC staff and our Board of Directors for all their tireless efforts and dedication to our organization which now helps all children in Florida.”
