I’ve collaborated with North Fort Myers editor and author Robin C. Tuthill to write not one, but two new books. They go by the title of Epic Fires of Fort Myers: How a Series of Early Fires Influenced the Town’s Development. The books not only revisit how our town and its nascent volunteer fire department evolved, they will transport you back in time to experience what life was really like in Fort Myers between 1886 and 1915. And the books contain invaluable present-day life safety and fire prevention tips compliments of current Chief John Caufield, and past chiefs Trent Bowen, Richard Chappelle and Bill Conrod, along with Fire Marshal Jen Campbell.
I’ve launched an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign to help cover the costs of publishing and printing Volume 2. Please check it out and support this worthwhile project if and to the extent you can. Here’s the link:
Thanks.
