La Musica International Chamber Music Festival Announces 32nd Season
“Sources of Inspiration” concerts April 9-‐‑18 at Sarasota Opera House
Sarasota, FL – The critically-‐‑acclaimed La Musica International Chamber Music Festival celebrates 32 seasons this year, with events running from April 7-‐‑18, 2018.
Four concerts will be held at the Sarasota Opera House, 61 N. Pineapple Avenue, Sarasota. Subscriptions to all four concerts are $150; single tickets are $40.

The Musicians
Joining Artistic Director Bruno Giuranna (violist, Italy) and Associate Artistic Director Derek Han (pianist, USA) this season are violinists Federico Agostini (Italy), Claudio Cruz (Brazil), Ruth Lenz (USA); violist Daniel Palmizio (Italy) making his La Musica debut; cellists Christine J. Lee (Korea), Antonio Meneses (Switzerland); Erica Piccotti (Italy) making her La Musica debut; and guitarist Jason Vieaux (USA) back by popular demand for a second year.
Open Rehearsals April 7-‐‑17
Rehearsals are open to the public and offer the unique and intimate opportunity to discover how notes come together to form a musical masterpiece and how the musicians collaborate to make this happen. The April 7, 8, 10, 11, 13 and 14 rehearsals are at Mildred Sainer Pavilion, New College of Florida, 5313 Bay Shore Road, Sarasota; the April 16 and 17 rehearsals are at Felding Hall, Sarasota Opera House, 61 N. Pineapple Avenue, Sarasota. Rehearsals are free of charge for series subscribers, faculty and students; non-‐‑subscribers may purchase a pass to all rehearsals for $75 in advance, or a daily pass for $15 at the door.

Musical Chefs Interactive Dinner Saturday, April 14, 6:00 p.m.
Hosted by Phil Mancini at Michael’s Wine Cellar, 1283 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. La Musica artists Federico Agostini and Ruth Lenz take turns leading guests in cooking demonstrations to prepare the evening’s multi-‐‑ course meal. Tickets range from $175-‐‑$250 per person.
