Eastman’s series of performances are now more accessible than ever to students who wish to experience some of the world’s great music. For only $10, students with valid school ID’s can enjoy concerts featuring symphony orchestras, Broadway stars, operas, bluegrass, dance, jazz, and beyond. The upcoming season includes jazz legends Chick Corea and Steve Gadd, Tony Award-winning Broadway star Patti LuPone, the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia of Rome, acclaimed pianist Murray Perahia, the Mark O’Connor band, and many others! The performances take place at the Eastman School of Music’s celebrated concert halls, including Kodak Hall, Kilbourn Hall, and Hatch Recital Hall.
Mike Stefiuk, Director of Concert Operations said: “Our goal is to ensure that all students have access to music and the arts. Hopefully, this program will allow us to engage students with the power of live music.”
All student tickets are priced at $10 and include the various Eastman Performance Series concerts (Eastman Presents, Eastman-Ranlet Series, Kilbourn Concert Series, Fernando Laires Piano Series, Barbara B. Smith World Music Series). For special, non-series performances, tickets will be $20 each. Tickets are available for purchase at any time and are open to ALL high school and college students with valid school IDs. Should seats sell out, we will monitor seat inventory and determine whether additional seats may be made available.

About Eastman School of Music:
The Eastman School of Music was founded in 1921 by industrialist and philanthropist George Eastman (1854-1932), founder of Eastman Kodak Company. It was the first professional school of the University of Rochester. Mr. Eastman’s dream was that his school would provide a broad education in the liberal arts as well as superb musical training. The current dean is Jamal Rossi, appointed in 2014.
About 900 students are enrolled in Eastman’s Collegiate Division– about 500 undergraduate and 400 graduate students. Students come from almost every state, and approximately 20 per cent are from other countries. They are guided by more than 95 full-time faculty members. Seven Pulitzer Prize winners have taught at Eastman, as have several Grammy Award winners. Each year, Eastman’s students, faculty members, and guest artists present more than 700 concerts to the Rochester community.
