Been a busy spring and summer so far, with shows from Sunnyvale, CA to Andalusia, AL to Winnipeg, Manitoba. My goal is to eventually be on a first-name basis with the airlines so I don’t have to hear any more renditions of Alberstadt (more on that later).

I also made a stop in LA to film a little reality show on NBC. Keep reading for more…

Last Comic Standing

Back in March I was invited to audition for Last Comic Standing — Season 8 on NBC. After showcasing for the producers I was selected as one of the “top 100” comedians to perform in the Invitational Round in LA.

Unfortunately, that’s where it ended for me. I did not advance beyond that stage but I had an unbelievable experience. I had fun not only with the process but also hanging out with old friends from the road who I haven’t seen in years. Some of them are still in the running!

NBC recently aired it’s Top 100 jokes of the season so far, and two of my bits made the list — the Tom’s deodorant joke (#81) and the Alzheimer’s joke (#66).

My full set didn’t make the air, but you can watch it here:

(Shameless self promo plug…) You can of course watch more videos of my stuff on my youtube channel:

Life on the Road

I’ve seen a lot of variations of Alberstadt throughout my career, but this sign outside the comedy club in Calgary is probably the most original.

Come see how they spell it in your city. I’ve got shows coming up in Toledo, Boston, and Nashville (home of the mighty Commodores). View my complete schedule here:
