Venice Theatre to hold open auditions this weekend
Young performers sought for Alice in Wonderland
(Venice, FL) Venice Theatre is seeking performers in elementary through high school to audition for its upcoming “Generations” musical, Alice in Wonderland. Director Kelly Wynn Woodland is holding auditions Saturday, June 28 at 2:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 29 at 5 p.m.
Auditioners should come prepared with 16 bars of a song and bring sheet music for the accompanist. Using pre-recorded music or singing a cappella is not permitted. Actors might also be asked to read from the script and perform a short dance combination. Performances of Alice in Wonderland will take place Thursdays through Sundays September 11-21, 2014 in the Pinkerton Theatre.
