Track Follows Horan’s Platinum Single “This Town”

Today, Capitol Records released “Slow Hands,” the new single from Niall Horan, who co-wrote the song. Horan’s assured vocal combined with an infectious guitar lick, and the syncopated bassline, underscore the simmering desire the song celebrates.
Says Horan of the track, which he recorded at Los Angeles’ legendary East/West Studios: “I’m so happy to be releasing ‘Slow Hands.’ I’ve been listening to a lot of early 80’s stuff lately and been inspired by that heavy bass and the funky guitar sound. It’s another flavor to my album that I’m excited to share.”
Produced by Julian Bunetta, “Slow Hands” can be downloaded and streamed HERE. It follows Horan’s hit single “This Town,” which is certified Platinum in the U.S. and has sold more than three million track equivalent units globally. Combined streams now surpass 350 million worldwide. “This Town” reached #1 in 60 countries in the first 24 hours of its release, became the #1 trending topic worldwide on Twitter and topped the Shazam chart in numerous countries. Views of Horan’s “1 Mic 1 Take” performance of “This Town” now exceed 35 million. TIME said, “‘This Town’ is a lush, guitar-forward ballad” and Entertainment Weekly hailed it as “a wistful tale of young love lost.”
Horan – who won his first solo People’s Choice Award in 2016, taking home the award for Favorite Breakout Artist – is currently in the studio working on his full-length debut.
