In 2008, Redd was a featured soloist in the finale concert at the Lionel Hampton International Jazz festival with the Lionel Hampton Big Band and the Clayton/Hamilton Jazz Orchestra. In February 2013, he performed with the Dream Band, co-leading with Jeff Hamilton in a salute to vibes legend Terry Gibbs. Redd was also the 2014 honoree at the Roswell Jazz Festival. He frequently leads groups at the Oregon Coast Jazz Party and has been a featured musician at the Oregon Festival of American Music since 2007.

For this special concert Redd teams with the Tampa-based La Lucha Trio, which has performed in Spain and Italy and has been named the Creative Loafing top jazz ensemble in the Tampa Bay area for four consecutive years. The trio consists of three best friends from three parts of the world: Colombia, Mexico and the U.S., with Alejandro Arenas on bass, John O’Leary on piano, and Mark Feinman on drums. Each member has extensive national and international performance experience. They have also established a well-regarded presence in the Tampa Bay area, winning numerous awards including a grant from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation to present a multimedia, awareness-raising project for Alzheimer’s Disease. For the Jazz Club of Sarasota, the trio performed with Whitney James in a Jazz at Two concert in November, and drummer Feinman was a member of Dick Hyman’s all-star band in the 2016 and 2017 Sarasota Jazz Festivals.
