NASHVILLE, Tenn., – Jan. 4, 2017 – For the first time in its 50-year history, the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum will release its complete slate of exhibitions planned for the calendar year. Beginning Monday, Jan. 9, the museum will announce a new 2017 exhibit each day. All week fans can tune in to the museum’s social media channels to find out who will be featured.
Each day the artist to be featured in an exhibition will be celebrated with a takeover of the museum’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat accounts. The social media takeover will include rare or never before seen photographs and video of each artist, as well as clips of fan favorite performances and classic interviews.
Beginning Jan. 8 the museum will share a mystery image and clue each night at 9 p.m. CST via social media. The image will be of the artist to be revealed the following day. Fans can like, comment and share their guesses. One lucky participant will be chosen at random to win a lifetime membership to the museum. The winner and a guest will also receive a travel package to attend the VIP opening of the exhibit they attempt to identify. There will be a total of four winners chosen throughout the week.
One of the most visited museums in the United States, with an unduplicated collection of more than 2.5 million artifacts, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum celebrates its fiftieth anniversary in 2017. This first-ever announcement of the full year’s exhibition schedule will be followed by many unique activities celebrating the museum’s golden anniversary milestone. Special programs and concerts will be announced in the coming months.
