SMH Partners with Sports Commission to Support Sports Tourism in Sarasota County in 2017
SARASOTA, FL- (January 4, 2017) – Visit Sarasota County (VSC) is pleased to announce a new partnership between the Sarasota County Sports Commission, a division of the VSC, and Sarasota Memorial Health Care System. As a 2017 community partner of the Sports Commission, SMH will sponsor the Sports Commission’s recently redesigned mobile app, which promotes Sports Commission-sponsored events and information for visitors coming into the area for sporting events. In return, the app will highlight SMH – the region’s only public hospital – and its network of urgent care centers. The six urgent care centers fill an important gap for people who become ill or injured but want to avoid a more costly trip to the emergency room.
