CareerSource Suncoast adds Chris Laney as Director of Education & Community Investment
CareerSource Suncoast recently hired Chris Laney as Director of Education & Community Investment. Laney will work on education initiatives for students and employers to enhance their understanding of the workforce on the Suncoast. Laney founded and chaired the State of Jobs Conference, an event that’s been part of the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce’s Talent4Tomorrow initiative.
“We are very excited to have Chris join the team and look forward to utilizing his talents to expand our regional convening to address local workforce challenges,” says Joshua Matlock, Chief Operating Officer for CareerSource Suncoast.
Previous to joining CareerSource Suncoast, Laney served as Director of Marketing for MapleTronics. He’s also served on the boards for the Suncoast Advertising Federation (AdFed), Suncoast Technology Forum, Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce and is a past chair of the Sarasota Young Professionals Group.
