November events at the Morse Museum include the return of our Friday nights, which include free admission and live music, gallery tours and talks on selected dates! A list of events follows.
Friday, November 4
Free Friday Nights at the Morse Kick Off, 4–8 p.m. A new season of free admission and extended hours on Fridays kicks off November 4. Every Friday from November through April, the Museum will provide free admission to the galleries from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Enjoy live music, curator tours and art demonstrations on Friday nights during the holidays and in the spring.
Friday, November 25
Live Music, 5–8 p.m. Harpist Bizarre Quartet (bass, flute, guitar, and harp). Free.
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Curator Tours of Louis Comfort Tiffany’s Laurelton Hall. Learn more about Louis Comfort Tiffany’s Long Island estate with Curator Donna Climenhage. Space limited. No advance reservations. Free with admission.
Wednesdays, 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Gallery Talks on Revival and Reform—Eclecticism in the 19th-Century Environment. Learn more about the rich diversity of styles, especially in leaded-glass windows, that made up the visual environment of the late 19th century in Europe and America. Space limited. No advance reservations. Free with admission.
Fridays, 11 a.m.
Gallery Talk on Celebrating 75 years—Pathways of American Art at the Morse Museum. Learn about the more than 60 objects in the exhibition, which include paintings, pottery, art glass, and works on paper. Together the works reflect the range of the Morse’s collection and the values of the Museum. Free with admission.
The Morse Museum, home to the world’s most comprehensive collection of works by Louis Comfort Tiffany, is located at 445 N. Park Avenue. Through April, the Museum’s hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and Saturday; 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday; and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
