What The Press Is Saying about 13 Voices…

“It’s a record with soul and purpose, embodying the very essence of punk. The record sounds like a life is at stake, and according to Whibley, one was. Now that’s punk rock.”  – myspace

“As a songwriter, it takes bravery to let the darkness in and open up about life’s lowest moments, but it pales in comparison to the strength required to push toward the light. Whibley balances both with ease here.”Alternative Press
“The more you listen, the more layers you find hiding underneath 13 Voices’ fierce front…This is a straight up punk rock album that holds nothing back.” 8/10 idobi
“Sum 41 haven’t said everything they need to say yet. As a matter of fact, their end still feels pretty far off. Welcome back.” Caliber TV

“This album is extremely impressive and is easily challenging Chuck as the band’s greatest, most technical and heaviest record.”9/10 That’s Rocking Awesome
“Was 13 Voices worth it amid all this throwback? It’s a time-trip indeed and in a couple words, fuck yes. Totally is.”Punk News
“’13 Voices’ is a powerful record as Sum 41 successfully deliver angst-spilled lyrics over a new rock-driven sound with massive anthemic choruses, but with their feet still firmly stomping in their punk roots.”Already Heard
“This album has rekindled every bit of love I had for Sum 41.” – 9.5 Invicta Mag
“Above all, the yearning “War” is the emotional pinnacle of the album, a testament to Whibley’s battle for sobriety and survival as well as an anthem for fans living with similar struggles.”4/5 All Music
“When that old flame starts to burn though, like on ‘Goddamn I’m Dead Again’, Sum 41 still have it.”Upset Magazine
It’s impossible not to head bang, but be careful, don’t give yourself whiplash because there’s still nine more songs on the album!”Stitched Sound
“13 Voices possibly Sum 41’s most powerful album, and with a clutch of relay anthems to boot, it’s an emphatically fulfilling listen.”The Sound Board Reviews
“The sound is a touch of pop-punk nostalgia for fans, but the band does it with the same energy and aggression that they’ve always had, making it far from a worn-out rehash of the height of their popularity.”Breaking and Entering
“The personal writing from Whibley, sharing his flawed past and progress to being healthy once again, illustrated throughout the album gives plenty of points for listeners to connect with his honesty and optimism.”The Anthem Music

“Sum 41 relentlessly delivers melodic punk anthem with reckless abandon”SA Music Scene

“The album is a must-listen for those who want to keep rock alive. Don’t call it a comeback, because Sum 41 essentially never left.”My Duhawk
“Even the most die – hard music enthusiast with concrete tastes and preferential elitist opinions can’t deny the beauty of Sum 41’s 13 Voices. The band seem to have coalesced together their career experience individually into a union that is remarkably sincere.” – 4/5 Renowned for Sound

“The record feels fresh and new, not quite a reinvention but rather a personal rediscovery. Their purpose is clearer on 13 Voices.” Immortal Reviews

“Sum 41 make a great return to form with this album, full of intense verses and full on choruses combined with melodies that could wake the dead, it’s the album you want to make a comeback with.”Thinking Lyrically
“The album is still pop punk at the core but, has incorporated, metal riffs, rock power and hardcore energy.”AltCorner
