BOYCE AVE LAUNCH
NEW STUDIO71 SERIES, STEREOTYPE,
ON UNIVISION TRENDS
LOS ANGELES – October 4, 2016 –Boyce Avenue, the #1 indie band on YouTube, takes on typical Latino culture stereotypes in their new bilingual series, Stereotype, debuting exclusively on Univision Trends today. Featuring members and brothers Alejandro, Fabian and Daniel Manzano, the five-episode series takes an irreverent look at sports, food, fashion, and more from a Hispanic POV. Stereotype will debut a new episode every week for the next five weeks.

The brothers will then try their hand at comically debunking each Latino stereotype and proving it false, or living up to it and showing how it’s actually positive.
“Not only is the series a great way to get meaningful conversations started about Stereotypes within the community, it’s also a really fun way to give fans to a closer look at the Hispanic culture — its traditions, ethics and values,” said Boyce Avenue.
“Stereotype is an excellent vehicle that extends Boyce Avenue’s digital presence and brand to new digital platforms and audiences,” said Dan Weinstein, President of Studio71. We’re thrilled to be collaborating with Univision on such an engaging series and know it will strike a positive chord with Boyce Avenue’s global fan base and beyond.”
Since joining YouTube in 2007, Boyce Avenue’s powerful original music and emotional acoustic covers have earned them the title of Number One indie band on YouTube, and the number two band overall, just behind Maroon 5. In addition to touring the world repeatedly and playing for over 500,000 fans in 25 countries on five continents, Boyce Avenue has garnered over 8.5 million subscribers and over 2.8 billion views to date on YouTube.
Adam Boorstin and Dana Shayegan are producing for Studio71.
