(New York, NY – September 23, 2016) – Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter Anthony Hamilton will appear on NPR Music’s Noteworthy, which goes live on Sunday, September 25th on npr.org/music with extended interviews on NPR‘s YouTube channel. A special video documentary series, Noteworthy takes an intimate look into artists and their creative process. Hosted by Jason King, the co-founder of The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at New York University, the episode provides rare insight on Hamilton’s technique for producing music. The show also highlights the North Carolina native’s personal background and discusses how race, family and the music of his childhood shapes his artistic approach.
During the episode, King spends a day with Hamilton and visits his Charlotte hometown, where he catches a glimpse into his upbringing and roots. Viewers will experience candid moments with the singer including a performance of “Amazing Grace” in the same church where he sang his first gospel solo.
Last night, the singer live streamed his performance of Prince’s “adore” on Facebook. Click here to watch.
