Day 3 of Samsung at Lollapalooza continued with unforgettable, immersive experiences for festival-goers including amazing performances on the Samsung Stage by Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane’s Addiction, Big Grams (Big Boi + Phantogram), X Ambassadors, and Nothing But Thieves and surprises Tom Morello, Jamie N Commons and Jimmy Chamberlin as well as VR-Palooza and The Galaxy Lounge, including a surprise performance by Tony Lanez!
Nothing But Thieves kicked off the day, followed by X Ambassadors, who were joined by Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello and Jamie N Commons for surprise songs. Big Boi and Phantogram then took over the Samsung Stage for their joint project Big Grams, followed by Lollapalooza creator Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro and their band Jane’s Addiction for an amazing, high energy rock show. Tom Morello and Smashing Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin Rapper joined Jane’s Addiction onstage. Tory Lanez made a surprise performance inside The Galaxy Lounge. Finally, the Red Hot Chili Peppers closed out Day 3 at Lollapalooza with a red hot performance from Anthony Kiedis and Flea. Fans around the festival were able to livestream all of the performances from the Samsung Stage using Samsung Gear VR and the Gear 360 camera and feel like they were onstage with the amazing artists.
Throughout the day, Galaxy owners had the opportunity to gain VIP access to The Galaxy Lounge for an unforgettable view of the Samsung Stage. Samsung is also offering a limited quantity of Samsung Gear 360, an affordable, high-resolution camera developed for Creators to create their own 360-degree VR videos, for purchase exclusively on-site. Festival-goers are also loving VR-Palooza, an interactive and entertaining VR experience where they can participate in all-new 360-degree VR experiences, including 4D VR surfing in Tahiti, skateboarding in Malibu, roller coaster and hot air balloon. The Samsung Pay vending machine continued to reward Samsung Pay users with upgrades, Samsung gear and perks.
