August 18-21 at Artists Repertory Theatre

 

PORTLAND, OREGON | July 25, 2016. Offering different plays every night from five outstanding playwrights, Portland Shakespeare Project and Proscenium Journal will host the second annual Proscenium Live Festival of New Work, from August 18 to 21 on Artists Repertory Theatre’s Alder Stage.

 

This unique, free, four-night festival features new plays written by Amy Freed, C.S. Whitcomb, Ellen Margolis, Simon Fill, and Wei He, performed in a staged reading format and drawing on the talents of more than 20 experienced Portland actors including Gavin Hoffman, Tobias Anderson, Michael Mendelson, Danielle Weathers, Crystal Munoz, Ben Newman and many others.

 

All performances are free and begin at 7:30pm. Seating is general admission, no reservations. Artists Repertory Theatre is located at 1515 SW Morrison Street, Portland, Oregon.

 

The festival is supported by a generous public service grant awarded to Steve Rathje by the Donald A. Strauss Foundation and by Portland Shakespeare Project.
