When asked about Above It All, the members had a number of things to say:
“Above It All is absolutely the best representation of the band we’ve written to date. We think that anyone who hears this record will literally be able to hear the blood, sweat, tears, time, & dedication that was put into it. We feel like it’s going to be one of the most diverse albums this scene has heard in the past ten years. It’s a testament to our perseverance despite everything we’ve been through as people & as a unit.”
“We worked with producer Dan Parker on this record & we couldn’t be happier about it. He’s an absolute hidden gem that knows exactly how to give every song its own incredible identity & personality. Luckily for us he also lives in the Phoenix valley so we only had to travel about 20 minutes to get to the studio. Overall, the magic that he can create & pull out of our songs is like nothing we have ever experienced in a producer.”
“When recording Above It All, we were very particular about it sounding as authentic & organic as possible. We involved a lot of different instruments in this record such as piano, mandolin, trumpet, cello, & more. We made sure that all of those parts were recorded live to create a better, more real sound than any computer could.”
“Something we believe in as a band is that progression is necessary with every record. We felt like the new music called for an image that was a little less dark & something that accentuates our personalities as individuals. This new album is the most personal piece of music we have ever written so it only felt right to have a look that expressed ourselves on a more personal level.” |
