VOTE NO on 2 Campaign Launches New Website, Three New Ads
-Newly revamped website highlights the facts about Amendment 2, marijuana legalization-

TALLAHASSEE, FLA. (July 12, 2016) – The VOTE NO on 2 Campaign today launched their newly revamped website, putting the facts about Amendment 2 and marijuana legalization front and center for Floridians. This newly redesigned website also features the campaign’s videos, including three new ads just released today. With five videos featured on the home page, VOTE NO on 2’s new website is a cutting edge example of how video content is driving the message to voters.

Edibles” highlights a little known aspect of Amendment 2. If passed, it will bring pot packaged like candy and marketed to kids here in Florida. “They Didn’t Fix It” exposes that the same old loopholes that were in Amendment 2 last time are once again in this year’s amendment. They said they fixed it. They didn’t. “10X Stronger” uncovers the truth that today’s marijuana is much stronger than your parents’ Mary Jane. The ads can be viewed on the new website: www.VoteNo2.org.

“Our campaign is focused on arming Floridians with facts and data on Amendment 2,” said VOTE NO on 2 Campaign spokesperson Christina Johnson. “The opposition continues to hide the truth, and their own agenda, with Floridians ultimately paying the price. The reality is Amendment 2 legalizes marijuana in Florida and trying to fool the public can’t change that.”

This latest round of ads joins the previously released ads: “Search,” “Three Things,” and “Budtender.” The ads explore California’s experiment with “medical” marijuana, highlighting the extraordinary number of pot shops, the absurd varieties of pot sold, the ease with which it is obtained, the reality that Amendment 2 could result in more pot shops in Florida than McDonalds, 7-11s and Starbucks combined, and the lack of medical education or any sort of training of pot shop employees, called “budtenders.” These ads continue to show that pot is not medicine and there’s nothing medical about Amendment 2.

The facts about so-called “medical” marijuana legalization are clear:

A Journal of Drug Policy Annual Report shows that “Only 3 percent of medical marijuana users had conditions like cancer and AIDS,” and that “the average medical marijuana user is a 32-year old male with a history of drug and alcohol use.”

The San Francisco Journal writes that “there are more pot shops than Starbucks,” and the Florida Department of Health, through the 2016 Florida Impact Estimating Conference shows “that the state would have 2,000 pot shops in Florida,” which is more than Starbucks, McDonald’s and 7-Eleven’s combined.

Even Rev. Scott Imler, one of the author’s of California’s Amendment 2, “now calls it a joke,” and that now “most pot shops are little more than dope dealers with store fronts.”

The VOTE NO on 2 Campaign’s sole purpose is to expose the Amendment 2 scam.  For more information on the VOTE NO on 2 Campaign, please visit http://www.voteno2.org/.
