Tonight, 5 Seconds of Summer willlaunch the North American leg of the “Sounds Live Feels Live” tour at Mohegan Sun Arena – the first of two consecutive nights at the Uncasville, CT venue. The Australian band is touring in support of Sounds Good Feels Good, its second album to top the Billboard 200. The extensive 43-date summer run, produced by Live Nation, will also include shows at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, PA (July 2), New York City’s Madison Square Garden (July 15) and The Forum in Los Angeles (September 7). See below for itinerary. The band recently wrapped up the European leg of the “Sounds Live Feels Live”tour, which included two sold-out nights at London’s O2 Arena.
“Girls Talk Boys,” a brand new song from 5 Seconds of Summer, will be on Ghostbusters: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. The film and soundtrack will be released on July 15. The band will perform at NBC’s annual “Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular,” which will air on Monday, July 4 (8-10 p.m. ET/PT), with an hour-long encore presentation at 10 p.m.
Hailed as the “biggest new rock act in the world” by Rolling Stone, 5 Seconds of Summer is the only band (not vocal group) in history to see its first two full-length studio albums enter the Billboard 200 at No. 1. Their self-titled debut album has sold more than three million units worldwide, with 1.5 million albums and more than 4.5 million single tracks sold in the U.S. alone.  2015’s Sounds Good Feels Good charted at No. 1 in 12 countries, including the U.S., the U.K. and Australia. “She’s Kinda Hot,” the album’s first single, won Song of the Summer honors at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, topped the iTunes charts in 44 countries and was a Top 15 hit at Top 40 radio.The band’s documentary/concert film How Did We End Up Here? – Live at Wembley Arena, was the highest-selling music DVD of 2015.
