May is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month!
Internationally-renowned children’s yoga expert Teresa Anne Power is passionate about not only sharing ways to introduce yoga to children at home and in the classroom — she loves to bring the peaceful practice outside too, especially as the weather begins to welcome us back outdoors!
Themed for participation at the beach, in the woods or outside in your own backyard, Power — who is also the author of the bestselling and award-winning The ABCs of Yoga for Kids and its new companion guide for parents and teachers — has created three unique routines with 5 nature-inspired poses each to get kids connecting with their surroundings, as well as feeling great and focused for playtime and exploring!
Accompanying these routines are vibrant illustrations from Kathleen Rietz and Power can also provide further details on the benefits of yoga for children, with specific emphasis on how it can assist with childhood challenges such as autism, ADHD, obesity, stress and physical disabilities, if requested.
