VSC launches on-line quiz to educate consumers about Venice, Florida

SARASOTA, FL. (April 29, 2016)— On May 1, 2016, Visit Sarasota County (VSC) will launch a new online quiz aimed at raising awareness of Venice, Florida. Quiz participants are invited to look at images and decipher if they are of Venice, Florida, Venice, Italy or Venice, California. Once an answer is chosen the participant is alerted if he or she is correct. A description of the image, connecting it back to one of the three Venice’s, is also included.

The quiz is designed to be a fun way of raising awareness about Venice, Florida,” says Erin Duggan, Vice President for Visit Sarasota County. “We often hear that potential visitors, especially those located out of the State and Country, don’t know Venice is in Sarasota County, let alone in Florida. This is a fun and interactive way to educate potential visitors that there is a gorgeous Venice located in Sarasota County Florida – right here on Florida’s Gulf Coast.”

The quiz can be found at VENICEorVENICE.com and is being promoted via VSC’s social media channels, laser targeting specifically those outside of the State. Quiz participants can enter to win a three-night stay for two people in Venice, Florida. The contest will run May 1 through May 31, 2016.
