Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra announces 2016-17 Telamon Classical Series at the Palladium
Subscription sales for six moving classical powerhouses, including Handel’s Messiah and Carmina Burana, begin April 18
INDIANAPOLIS (April 14, 2016) —The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra announced today the 2016-17 Telamon Classical Series at the Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts, beginning with Handel’s Messiah on Dec. 22. Subscriptions sales for the series of six classical concerts begin April 18; single tickets will go on sale Aug. 8.
The ISO’s acclaimed Music Director Krzysztof Urbański returns to the Palladium for two performances: Music of the Earth: Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde on Jan. 22, and the series closer, Carmina Burana, on June 11, 2017. Distinguished guest conductors will present the works of Beethoven, Debussy and Rachmaninoff on Feb. 19, March 12 and May 6, respectively.
