A local Broadway star, a television and stage star, and the Herald Tribune’s well-known theater critic to judge Theatre Odyssey’s Ninth Annual Ten-Minute Play Festival!

SEE THE PLAYS ANN MORRISON, JIMMY CLARKE, and JAY HANDELMAN WILL JUDGE—performances May 1, 2, and 3 at 8 p.m. and May 3 and 4 at 2 p.m. at the Jane B. Cook Theatre at FSU/Asolo Center for the Performing Arts, 5555 North Tamiami Trail, Sarasota.

Tickets for the NINTH ANNUAL TEN-MINUTE PLAY FESTIVAL are $18.00 per person general admission and $5.00 for students with valid ID.

Ann Morrison made her Broadway debut as Mary Flynn in Stephen Sondheim’s MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG directed by Harold Prince for whom she also starred in LOVEMUSIK. She has performed Off-Broadway and at London’s West End and is a playwright, director and recording artist, and locally co-founded and serves as Artistic Director of Kaleidoscope Theatre, a musical theatre workshop for persons with developmental disabilities.

Jimmy (Patrick James) Clarke starred as Dr. Pat Ryan in the television series RYAN’S HOPE in the 1980s, and in SEARCH FOR TOMORROW and GUIDING LIGHT, has worked extensively on stage in New York at SoHo Rep and Circle in the Square, and with the Asolo Rep for two decades. His enviable list of Asolo productions include BORN YESTERDAY, A FEW GOOD MEN, TWELVE ANGRY MEN, and GOD OF CARNAGE.

Jay Handelman has written about both other judges and so much else, as the theater and television critic, and arts writer for the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, which he joined in 1984. He is a two-time past chairman of the American Theatre Critics Association, the national organization of professional theater critics, and is the president of the group’s non-profit Foundation. He also is a member of the Television Critics Association.
