Brahms: A German Requiem

Michael Francis conducts the orchestra and The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay in Brahms’ A German Requiem, a monumental musical affirmation of life and humanity. The concert also includes the TFO premiere of The World’s Ransoming by Scottish composer James MacMillan, who has been hailed by The Times in London as “the most powerful voice in British music today.” TFO English horn Jeffrey Stephenson is the soloist for this concertante work for English horn and orchestra relating to Easter Week and its compelling depiction of the crucifixion.
