LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS ON MAY 6
WYLDE TO PERFORM AND PRESENT AT TONIGHT’S
2014 REVOLVER GOLDEN GODS AWARDS SHOW IN LOS ANGELES
Los Angeles, CA (April 23, 2014) – Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society have been announced as the musical guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday, May 6. The band will perform “My Dying Time” from their recently released album Catacombs of the Black Vatican, which debuted at #1 on the Independent, Rock and Metal charts and #5 on the Billboard 200. In addition, Wylde will make a solo appearance at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards Show taking place tonight in Los Angeles and airing on VH1 Classic on May 24.
No stranger to the Revolver Golden Gods Awards Show stage, Zakk Wylde will make an appearance at the 2014 event to pay tribute to this year’s lost legends during the “Fallen Heroes” segment. In addition, Zakk will present a fellow shredder with the Dimebag Darrell Best Guitarist Award, renamed this year in honor of the late, great Pantera guitarist. The show will stream live on Amazon, VH1.com and the VH1 app on April 23 and will air on VH1 Classic on May 24. Black Label Society is currently on the road as headliners of the Revolver Golden Gods Tour, which ends with a show at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles on June 7.
Since their late 90s inception, Black Label Society formed by Zakk Wylde has been featured at the forefront of their genre. Their taste for hard riffs and blazing solos has resulted in a slew of hugely successful albums and a reputation as one of the most powerful live bands of their generation. Wylde, who has been called one of the true guitar heroes in modern history, served as Ozzy Osbourne’s guitarist for over 20 years in addition to his work with BLS. This collaboration led to a string of multi-platinum albums including Osbourne’s biggest-selling “No More Tears” for which Zakk wrote all the music.
Wylde has proven time and time again that his songwriting guitar prowess and onstage persona along with his larger than life personality have made him a force to be reckoned with. In addition to his music, he is a true Renaissance man with a number of side business ventures. Zakk has a pair of coffee blends: Valhalla Odinforce and Valhalla Java. Zakk guest starred with Mark Walhberg and Jennifer Aniston in the “Rockstar” movie, among his acting credits. He performed the national anthem at multiple major sporting events and wrote the 2013 Major League Baseball theme for ESPN.
