Solar power basics offered at North Port Library
SARASOTA COUNTY – Want to learn more about how to harness the power of solar energy in your home? Then be sure to attend “Solar in the Sunshine State: The Basics of Solar Energy for Florida Homeowners” next month at North Port Public Library.
A facilitator from the Sarasota County Sustainability office will present this free program so that participants can gain an understanding of what it takes to add residential solar hot water and photovoltaic technologies to their homes. It will cover the basics of how the technology works, calculating return on investment and possible incentives that might help pay for it.
The program is scheduled for 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20 in the Juliano Room of the library, 13800 Tamiami Trail, North Port.
