The Sailor Circus Annual Holiday Celebration

The Circus Arts Conservatory kicks off their their 2015-2016 Winter Season with The Sailor Circus Annual Holiday Celebration!

115 students from the ages of 8 to 18 performing traditional circus acts with a modern flair. A holiday mash up that includes bits and pieces from the Nutcracker to Frozen.

2 p.m. (Dec. 26-29) and 7 p.m. (Dec. 26, 28-29)
Sailor Circus Arena, 2075 Bahia Vista Drive, Sarasota
Tickets: $20 adults, $15 children

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online at www.CircusArts.org, at the box office at 2075 Bahia Vista St., Sarasota, or by phone at 941-355-9805.

Venice Theatre’s The American
Swing Experience

Venice Theatre welcomes The American Swing Experience to its MainStage Dec. 29 – Dec. 31 at 8 p.m. each evening. The big-band concert features area singers David and Michele James-Pruyn who will be joined by a 15-piece orchestra to salute the all-time greatest bands and singers of the Swing Era.

Tickets are $35 on Dec. 29 and 30, and $49 on New Year’s Eve which includes hors d’oeuvres and a champagne toast. Tickets available at www.venicestage.com, 941-488-1115, or in person at the box office at 140 W. Tampa Ave., Venice.

Artist Exhibit Opportunity
at the Center for Arts and Humanity

A monthly juried art exhibit at the Center for Arts and Humanity runs from Sept. – June of each year.

Artists who are members of the Arts and Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County and have not exhibited at the Center for the past two years are eligible to apply. As a member, there is no charge to participate. The Alliance does request a donation of 10% of sales.

The Alliance promotes the exhibition and invites Alliance members to a reception hosted by the artist.

The SARASOTA CULTURE COLLECTIVE gives those interested in the arts (ages 21-39) the chance to experience Sarasota’s world-class organizations at a dramatically discounted rate and exclusive access to pre- or post-show mix and mingle events. This can include cocktails, appetizers, a chance to schmooze with the younger set in Sarasota and a short up close and personal presentation by a performer, director, etc. from the arts organization. Memberships are $99, which includes:

• ONE ticket to ONE performance at each of the following organizations: Asolo Repertory Theatre, The Sarasota Ballet, Circus Arts Conservatory, Sarasota Opera, Sarasota Orchestra and The Ringling.
• Discounts to other arts organizations in the area.
