Los Angeles, CA – With his new track “5AM,” Panic City delivers a future house gem for the books. Out now on Dim Mak, “5AM” blends warm chord progressions and snapping bass lines with a shuffling garage beat. UK MC Kris Kiss layers crisp vocal hooks on top to deliver an out of the park early morning dancefloor heater.
Panic City has quickly become an in-demand producer over the past few years, having been tapped by some of dance music’s biggest artists to hop on their official remix packages. His reworkings of Crookers feat. Jeremih’s “I Just Can’t,” Shift K3Y and Born Dirty’s “Misbehave”, Steve Aoki’s Linkin Park collab “Darker Than Blood,” and Syn Cole’s “It’s You” all made major waves throughout 2015. The San Francisco native has also released a slew of official remixes for some of the biggest names in pop, including Chris Brown, Capital Cities, Diplo, and Tove Lo. In Dancing Astronaut’s words, “The LA newcomer has been slaying every remix thrown at him this year.”
Panic City’s original productions showcase the unique style he’s persistently forging. Last year, Dim Mak introduced the artist to the masses by releasing his first official single “Bang Bang”. The hard-hitting production was a staple on iTunes’ coveted “Hot Tracks” playlist and amassed 6,500+ downloads on the service. What followed was the dynamic “O.A.K.L.A.N.D.” which pays homage to the producer’s Bay Area roots and exemplifies his bass-heavy future house meets g-house sound.
Long celebrated in the digital music community, Panic City racked Hype Machine’s #1 spot with his bootleg remix of Zedd’s “Find You” and has recently clocked over 4 million plays on SoundCloud. Having shared the stage with Dillon Francis, Steve Aoki, Zedd, and lit up big club gigs at Marquee and LAVO, Panic City has proven his performance packs as much punch as his production. With another impressive release out now on Dim Mak, this fast rising artist is just getting started. |
