Bryan Terry Joins truTV as Vice President of Development and Programming with
Tommy Cody and Rohit Sang named Executive Producers
truTV has hired Bryan Terry as Vice President, Development and Programming and Rohit Sang and Tommy Cody as Executive Producers. Working closely with Chris Linn, president, head of programming and Marissa Ronca, senior vice president, development and original programming, Terry is responsible for the procurement, development and management of original programming for the network’s growing slate of shows. Sang and Cody will oversee the production of original series for truTV, as well as participate in the development of new projects by taking pitches and creating new show concepts. All are based in New York.

Bryan Terry is an Emmy Award winning television and documentary producer who began his career at ESPN before landing at MTV, where he wrote and produced one of the network’s most successful daily programs, Total Request Live. From TRL he continued at MTV Networks, developing and writing on some of their biggest annual specials and tentpole events including the MTV Video Music Awards, Spring Break and New Year’s Eve. Terry recently served as the showrunner for several series including Artist Tlk with Pharrell Williams (YouTube), Off the Bat from the MLB Fan Cave (MTV2), RocNation’s Where I’m From (Fusion), and the daytime Emmy-nominated Capture with Mark Seliger (Ovation). Terry also co-founded PhearCreative, a New York based creative agency specializing in pop culture programming. While serving as the company’s Executive Producer he created and sold shows and programming to networks such as HBO, MSG and MTV as well as brands including Cadillac, MoveOn.org, Nike, and The Onion. In his new role at truTV, Terry reports to Marissa Ronca, senior vice president, development and original programming.
Rohit Sang’s resume includes stints at MTV/Vh1, where he co-founded the highly successful web platform Bestweekever.tv, LinkedIn, where he created sponsored video series for Get Connected and HuffingtonPost/AOL studios, launching and producing the first original video series based on Arianna Huffington’s book, Becoming Fearless. Additionally, Sang’s extensive writing, producing, directing, consulting and development credits include Broke Ass Game Show (MTV,) MTV2 Guy Code, The Substitute (MTV,) Countdown with Keith Olbermann (Current TV,) Silent Library (MTV,) Vh1’s The Short List, The Webby Awards, Sang is also founder of R-Squared Media, a multi-media production company and the animation company, Ro-Toons. At truTV, Sang will report to Lesley Goldman, vice president, development and original programming.
Tommy Cody has worked with truTV in the past, serving as showrunner for the hit series Impractical Jokers and as head writer on World’s Dumbest. In addition to his work with the network, Cody’s producing past includes an Emmy nominated stint with Who Wants to Be a Millionaire with Meredith Viera and the first season of Joan Knows Best (WEtv). He has written with, and for, dozens of comedians, including Jon Stewart, Dennis Miller, Greg Giraldo, and Gilbert Gottfriend and was also a writer for several series that launched HBO’s Comedy Channel. Cody was also Creative Director and head writer for MTV Production in New York, and resume includes writing and producing credits for several Video Music Awards and MTV Movie Awards ceremonies. At truTV, Cody will report to Bryan Terry, Vice President, Development and Programming.
