“Say My Name,” the latest video from VON GREY,is out now and can be seen HERE. Directed by Mary Caroline Mann and edited by Sara Gunderson, it’s the third in a series of thought-provoking videos that the indie-alt band made to accompany tracks from its new EP, Panophobia. Produced by Dan Hannon (Manchester Orchestra, A Rocket to the Moon), the six-track EP is available HERE or on GooglePlay.
“This band of sisters from Atlanta, Georgia, makes haunting, moody indie rock,” said NYLON.com, which premiered the video for “Katie,” which can be seen HERE.The video for “Forever Bound,” which was directed by Miles Evert (Krewella), can be viewed HERE.
“[Panophobia] is miles apart from previous VON GREY releases…The new EP flips their previous work on its head, replacing bluegrass melodies with ethereal synthesizers and EDM elements as if the group have entered a new musical dimension,” observed ImmersiveAtlanta.com. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel praised VON GREY’S “ethereal, electronic, Gothic pop” while antiMusic.com hailed the band as “fearless” and CityOfTenants.com urged, “make your ears meet…VON GREY aka sisters with captivating harmonies, punching lyrics & an ever-expanding catalogue of marvelousness. bold, raw, right.”
VON GREY – made up of sisters Annika (vocals, violin, guitar, keys), Fiona (vocals, guitar, violin, percussion), Petra (keys, electronic percussion, background vocals) and Kathryn (cello, bass pedals, keys, background vocals) – has toured nationally with the Indigo Girls, Lindsey Stirling, Ron Pope and Rusted Root, among others, and performed at such festivals as Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, SXSW, Gathering of the Vibes and Shaky Knees. The band made its late night television debut on “Late Show with David Letterman” and performed on “Conan” in support of their self-titled debut EP.
