After delivering a selection of choice remixes for Dim Mak and label-boss Steve Aoki, the young Dutch duo Vicetone release their first original single for Dim Mak playfully entitled “Catch Me.” The progressive house virtuosos revamp their characteristic big room sound with a grooving bass line and masterful arrangement of catchy electro-funk riffs.
With an already laudable rap sheet of Top 10 singles, it was the Beatport #1 “Let Me Feel” with Nicky Romero that thrust Vicetone into the upper echelon of dance music stardom. Since their entrance in 2012, Ruben and Victor have gone on to release sensational records across major labels such as Spinnin’ Records, Armada, Cr2 Records, Ultra Music and Protocol Recordings. Amassing over 50 million plays on SoundCloud and over 600,000 likes on Facebook, the childhood friends turned festival headliners now sit impressively at #36 on the DJ Mag Top 100.
Vicetone’s rapid ascent to the top has not been without diligence. In addition to selling out tours and performing at TomorrowWorld and Electric Zoo, the tandem scored the official after-movie soundtrack for the legendary Ultra Music Festival. Producers, DJs, composers – the sky is the limit for the talented 22-year-olds who can count Tiësto, David Guetta, Krewella, R3hab, NERVO and Avicii among their supporters. |
