Tidy up with Laurel Community Cleanup
SARASOTA COUNTY – Keep your home looking spiffy by taking part in the Laurel Community Cleanup, 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 19. 
Sarasota County will help collect your discarded household items, yard waste, tree trimmings, junk and other garbage or refuse. Free dumpsters will be available for your convenience at the following locations:
- Forest Street at Laurel Park (Tires and large appliances/white goods will be accepted at this site only)
- Corner of Church Street and Spencer Avenue (Dumpster will be located at the Johnson Chapel Baptist Church parking lot)
Hazardous materials, paint, auto parts, electronics, televisions and computers will not be accepted at any location.
Hazardous waste can be taken to 8750 Bee Ridge Road between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday.
