THE PLAYERS PRODUCES BRAND NEW FRIDAY NIGHT VARIETY SHOW
Sarasota, FL–Don’t want to wait for Saturday night? Looking to fill your Friday nights with a mixed bag of hilarity? The Players Theatre is launching a brand new variety show called, “Friday Night Live.” Three of Sarasota’s favorite comedians, Christine Alexander, Joey Panek and Beneva Fruitville, have combined forces to create a perfect storm of comedy. Through sketches, musical numbers, videos and improv, your hosts will guide you through a side-splitting night of debaucherous entertainment. Joining their ranks will be special guest stars with recreations of some of your favorite TV shows from the past. New editions of the show will play monthly and you will never see the same show twice.
The inaugural series premiere will be held on The Players Theatre mainstage on September 25th, 2015 at 8pm. Each night has its own theme, and this first show is “The Knock Knock Edition” where skits, shorts and sketches all have something to do with knocking.
The show will follow in the footsteps of the wildly popular shows “Pageant” and “Drag Queen Bingo Bonanza”, the latter of which will now be moving to the more intimate and interactive space at McCurdy’s Comedy Club.
